In every instance, it shall be assumed on the basis of submission that authority resides with the party(s) placing the order. Custom logos and designs on products shown in this catalog have been reproduced as examples of our manufacturing processes. They are not for resale nor are they to be construed as endorsements.
3. Die Service Charge
All custom products require a die charge for production. The development of this necessary tooling will be done for your order(s). Tooling remains the property of Mint Masters, and as such is guaranteed to remain available for your exclusive and continued use unless conditional use arrangements have been made at time of order. We further guarantee the working condition of tooling made by Mint Masters as long as it remains on our premises. The exception would be dies that have been modified after their original hardening.
Costs for die service charges vary. Simplicity or complexity of the art, medal or medallion size and depth of relief are several of the variables at play. It is therefore necessary to contact your Mint Masters' representative for cost and delivery time estimates for your die service charge. In every instance, the die cutting process is an art, not a science. As such, your art is subject to interpretation by our skilled die engravers. Sky-Clouds-Portraits are examples of images subject to this artistic interpretation. In every instance, we provide a lead proof to insure a satisfactory result.
4. Lead Proofs
Before the steel dies are hardened, a lead strike is made of the relief of the die. The resulting image is provided for proofing purposes. Production will not begin until a lead proof is approved. Changes to tooling once die is cut may incur additional costs.
5. Pre-production Proofs
Once the lead is approved pre-production proofs are available for a fee. Contact your representative for pricing and production. Changes to tooling after a pre-production proof will incur additional costs.
